Teen Sailing Program is a sailing school and nautical skills school for teens (13-17). It is an opportunity to make new friends, great fun and experience that will be remembered for a lifetime. The program consists of two weeks; the first week children are at the camp, where they learn to sail in small classes (on a dingy). Sailing takes place on different boats from Optimist (optical), Lasers (laser), Topper Omega (4.7M), to Topper Taz and Catamarans.
In addition to daily active sailing, theoretical classes are provided also. During the "breaks" from sailing, children have the opportunity to try other outdoor activities such as: windsurfing, kayaking, archery, high / low ropers, Adventure Park, volleyball, water polo, etc.
In the Adriatic, during the the daytime in summer NW wind blows each day from noon till dawn, strength of about 15 kts. As this location is in the bay, there and no huge waves giving it a perfect spot to start sailing.
After the first seven days, campers go to a larger yacht charter (charter sailing yacht) 45-50 ft. The next seven days are reserved for cruising through beautiful Zadar - Sibenik archipelago, visiting National parks Kornati, Krka. Children master their first maritime skills such as: navigation, cruising, yacht maneuvering with night sailing and many others.
During the cruise they visit the best places for diving in the archipelago, try out cliff jumping, climbing and biking. Children sleep in cabins for two, and are always under counselor and skipper’s supervision. Meals are organised most of the time on the boat where everybody participates in the cooking or barbecuing.
During the whole time, two little topper boats are dragged on which they one to two times a day still exercise sailing techniques on small classes and run the daily math-race regatta.
With the leadership of the best instructors, this is a unique school of sailing anywhere in the world where the participants learn to sail having fun. On every boat there are 6-8 participants with a skipper and his team. Every participant receives a Wiki camp sailing certificate and a log book with at least 100 NM.
